Why the vehicle tier changes
A normal private car may work beautifully for a couple plus host and driver, but a family of four needs more passenger space. That is why the group price rises once the booking moves into a larger vehicle.
We would rather price that honestly than squeeze four guests into something that makes the day feel cheaper than the website promised.
The per-person math
At $475 for an eight-hour day, a family of four is at about $119 per person before admissions and meals. That is the useful comparison against four marketplace tickets, not the headline 'from' rate shown for someone else's group size.
At $325 for four hours, the family is at about $81 per person.
Kids change the route
Young children usually benefit from shorter stops, earlier food, fewer long explanations and one experience with room to move. Older kids may prefer Comuna 13, views, cable cars, science or food over a long traditional museum.
The intake form should capture ages and any stroller or mobility needs before the Route Card is finalized.
Do not turn flexibility into chaos
Let each person choose one priority, then let the host build the route around those. Four people choosing four distant must-dos is how a custom day becomes a traffic tour.
A good family day has a few anchors and permission to skip something if energy drops.
Half day or full day for families
Four hours is often ideal for younger kids or a first afternoon. Eight hours works when the children are older and the day includes a real meal break and flexible downtime.

Bottom line
Choose the day that fits the people traveling, not the longest list of attractions. If you know your date and group size, we can turn the priorities above into a Route Card and confirm what actually fits.
