Quick answer: A strong 3-day structure is: Day 1 private Medellín orientation, Day 2 Guatapé or coffee, Day 3 self-directed neighborhoods, food, museums or whatever Day 1 made you curious about.
$2501–2 guests · 4-hour Medellín half day
$4001–2 guests · 8-hour Medellín full day

Day 1: learn the city

Use the first day for orientation and the hard-to-sequence stops: a private city route, Comuna 13, Botero/Centro, views or museums depending on your interests.

The point is to learn enough that the next two days become easier to navigate and personalize.

Day 2: leave the valley or go deeper

Choose Guatapé if you want the classic road day and landscape. Choose a dedicated coffee farm if coffee is the real interest and you would rather spend more time on the farm than checking Guatapé boxes.

Trying to make both mandatory can create a very long day, though a well-placed farm can sometimes be combined with Guatapé.

How our model works: The city theme does not change the base price. You are reserving the private vehicle, professional driver, host and time block. Admissions, meals and optional extras stay separate unless explicitly stated.

Day 3: stop buying tours

Return to the neighborhood you liked, spend more time in a museum, book a restaurant, wander Laureles or Poblado, or simply leave space in the trip.

A good first private day should produce ideas for this day instead of making you dependent on another itinerary.

Where Comuna 13 fits

It can be part of Day 1 rather than consuming an entire separate day unless street art, neighborhood history or photography is a major interest.

If crowds matter, your host can help choose timing rather than treating it as an all-day fixed product.

Where the 4-hour product fits

If you do not want an eight-hour Day 1, use the four-hour city block for one strong route and spend the rest of the day independently.

See our half-day vs. full-day guide for that decision.

Bottom line

Choose the day that fits the people traveling, not the longest list of attractions. If you know your date and group size, we can turn the priorities above into a Route Card and confirm what actually fits.
