Book a group tour when price and simplicity matter most
Shared tours are hard to beat when you are solo, happy with the published itinerary, and comfortable following the group clock. They can also be a great way to meet other travelers.
Book private when the day itself matters more than the seat
Private touring is strongest for couples, families, small groups, travelers with mobility needs, people with limited time, and anyone who wants to combine interests that do not appear together on a standard listing.
The biggest difference is pace
A private vehicle is useful, but the more important difference is permission to stay longer, leave earlier, switch the next stop, eat when the group is hungry, and stop pretending every traveler needs the same number of minutes in every place.
Compare the final price for your group
Do not compare a flat group price with a marketplace “from” price without selecting your actual party size. Look at the final checkout number, included hours, pickup, admissions, and whether the guide or host stays with you.
There is no universal winner
If you want the cheapest Guatapé seat, take the shared bus. If you want to control whether you climb the rock, spend two hours in town, add a boat, or stop for coffee, private becomes a different product rather than merely a more expensive seat.
Bottom line
The best private day is not the one with the longest attraction list. It is the one where the route, pace, vehicle and time block match the people actually traveling. If you already know your date and group size, use the planner below and we can turn these ideas into a Route Card.
Our city half day is 4 hours from $250 for 1–2 guests, and the full day is 8 hours from $400. Larger-group pricing reflects the larger vehicle required.
